"Housekeping didn't clean the black tiles at the bathroom entrance after repeated complaints. We changed rooms three times all rooms had same dirty tiles. The white towel my son was dragging on the tile floor after his bath was black with d.Frustrated, I cleaned the tiles with a towel and just soap and water myself. I even left the dirty towel with a note on it indicating the filthyness of the tiles but to no avail."

"Generally - we loved staying near the attractions, the key positive was the free bus to and from Disney parks, and the fun outdoor pools. The beds / pillows were really comfortable, too, we slept well. A couple of small negatives: first room we were assigned smelled like cigarettes, even though on a "non-smoking" floor. Second room was good, but bathroom smelled like mildew. Hotel construction was in the way a bit. Restaurants were a little expensive and hard to find, for some reason."

"I thought this hotel was "5 star", while we enjoyed ourselves and the staff was friendly the room was way over priced for what it was. It was probably the smallest and plainest "5 star" hotel we've ever stayed at. We were especially disapointed because we thought we were spurlging by up-grading to a "delux balcony room" that was very average with a view of other hotel rooms. We also felt at a resort of this calibar more amenities should be included. Even a Days Inn or Comfort Inn does not charge additional to use the excersise room or for parking. Cheaper hotels also offer a complimentary breakfast. When paying over $250.00 a night you don't expect to be nickel and dimed. We joked during our stay are they going to charge if we sit in the lobby? The staff were all nice (Disney staff always are). The busses to and from the parks was the best perk about staying at the Dolphin. The larger shampoo and conditioner bottles were appreciated. We will definitly come back for another Disney vacation but we won't stay at the Dolphin again."

"The bed in our room was like a "concrete slab." The pillows and comforter were fine, but the bed was hardly "heavenly." One helpful person was Eric at the front desk who expedited our check-in and room arrangements. However, on the last day of our stay, we inadvertantly locked our keys in our rental car, which was running. We contacted both a parking lot attendant and security, both of whom showed little or no interest in our predicament. We asked for a coat hangar from security, and the officer complied by bringing us a hangar, and that's all he did. He did not even exit his vehicle. There are four of us in our family, one of whom is a child. The heat and humidity on that day were extreme, and nobody we contacted seemed to be interested in our safety or comfort. Ultimately, AAA came to our assistance after we contacted them. This left an extremely bad taste in our mouths and contributed to our conclusion that we would be better served at other properties in the Disney area."

"Next time we will not take a first floor room in the back of the hotel. Light bulbs were burned out above the vanity area, (we had to call housekeeping) floor lamp was unplugged, carpet was not clean, gecko was right outside our door waiting to get in. My husband had to chase him down the hallway. Bathroom wall tile could use some work. But the beds were very comfortable."

"Some minor issues 1. Upon check in, the room we had did not have a lake view. However the front desk was more than happy to move us to a better room. 2. We added an extra night which made for 2 reservations in the computer system. Because of this, housekeeping knocked on our door twice to inquire when we were checking out when we still had 2 more. days. Again, the front desk quickly fixed the situation. 3. Coffee supplies were not refilled once and I had to track down housekeeping 'cause I got's ta have mah coffees. All in all a most enjoyable stay. Staff is superior"

"First time we stayed at Dolphin. Enjoyed everything. Did not opt for dinner at restaurants but breakfast buffet was good. Would like to have a choice other than buffet. Thought $25 a day for Murphy bed was excessive. Foyer by bathroom a little musty. Suggestion: There should be a privacy curtain that can be drawn across sink area outside bathroom to create a change room."

"Very disappointed to find out that the only reasonable family restaurant (Tubbi's) located in the hotel was closed for rennovation after we checked in, this left almost no option for reasonable family meals on-site. When we arrived home discovered we had left clothes hanging in the closet and called twice the next day about them but still have received no return phone call. Transportation on the water crafts to Epcot and MGM was excellent and quicker than waiting on the buses, even though that wait wasn't long either. Beds very comfortable and the hallways very quiet."

I feel that $110.00 for 4 adults and 2 chieldren is above and beyond food was great but the same amount of persons in I HOP cost me 35.00 and I eat more that I could handle I beleive this is something that should be at a better price for the persons staying at the hotel. other than that excellent"

Elsie from San Juan, PR US rated Walt Disney World Dolphin 9 out of 10 on January 03, 2006
"The housekeeping service was very poor. The room was not vacuumed properly, if at all. The bathtub was not cleaned at all that I had to clean the tub every night for the children's bath. Surface was not wiped clean. I called twice the housekeeping for a better vacuuming since our family is mildly allergic to the dust but it was ignored throughout our stay. After days of sneezing, runny noses, itchy eyes, and coughing I finally requested the cleaning lady directly for a decent cleaning but she also ignored it except for the last day of our stay after a few generous tips and witnessing our misery when I took an extra tissue box to keep our noses clean. The beds were made very poorly. The blankets were tucked in so tight like a straight jacket and so short, everynight we had to struggle to get enough lengh of blankets for the children. The sheets were not fitted, so they moved along with our bodies during the night. The outsource services such as taxis, restaurants were erratic. The taxi driver whom I thought wrongly was a hotel limousine and thought a hotel chauffeur would take care of hotel guests took us to a wrong location, which ended up giving me and my husband one memorable night of children screaming, crying with hunger, exhaustion after an hour of walking to find the restaurant. It was impossible to confirm a reservation at Shula's during the day time until I contacted the duty manager. Other than that, the staff in general are friendly and helpful."

"We thought the hotel was very expensive and the hotel "nickel and dimed" us every opportunity possible. I.e., newspaper at the door -- if we took it -- we were charged. The spa was extremely expensive $125 for a 50 minute message -- usually they run about $75 for 50 minutes."

"I was very disappointed to learn that there is a charge for storing liquids in the mini bar refrigerator. I needed to store my baby's milk. Considering the cost for the room and that this is a family theme park there should not be a charge. When I objected to the charge I was told I could rent a refrigerator. Come on Disney! How cheap."
Susan from Westminster, CO US rated Walt Disney World Dolphin 6 out of 10 on November 14, 2005
"The stay was fabulous. The location with the two baconies was beyond what we expected. We did not have any shampoo in the room when we arrived. I called and we received a whole packet of shampoo, lotion, conditioner, etc. I was not expecting this at all!! Having two packets of coffee was great. Although we did not utilize both packets, I have in the past and it was great knowing the option was there. I really liked the desk and how it was designed in front of the window. We appreciated the voice mail message about our check out process. The swimming pool area is beyond belief. We utilized the boat service to travel from one are to another. Having the bus service to the Disney properties was great. I can see why the Dolphin and Disney has the reputation they have for service. We will probably stay at the Dolphin again in the future. A couple of recommendations for your future customers. The sheets kept slipping off our king size bed. I do not know if they were too small for the bed but they would slip off by morning."

"Hotel lacks caracter ,is too wide open and everything is too spread out. It`s not welcoming and while all services are available many are a complete rip off!I wish the sheets were made to stay on/fit the bed!!It`s just a big convention centre and not really suited to a family."

"The room had a moldy smell, noticed by all. The first night the pull-out bed had dirty sheets and blankets (it took room service one hour to respond). There was construction with the sounds of drills and hammers as early as 7:00 am. There was vacuuming in the halls at 9:30 pm. The rooms are sparsely decorated. The gym costs extra (I can usually judge an establishments sophistication on whether they charge for the gym - penny wise and pound foolish). Same for paying for parking (kind of ridiculous don't you think when guests are paying about $2500 for five nights for two rooms). The service at the BlueZoo was horrible, tepid food, very poor service, rude waiter."

"Unfortunately, the hotel room was damp, in fact, down right wet feeling. When we first checked in we thought it was because the air was not on. By the next morning all of our clothes felt wet. We did not go down to the desk and report since we were in a hurry to get out that morning and by the night we decided we were leaving early the next day. We were all snizzy by the next morning."

"When reservations were made, adjoining rooms were requested. Fourteen of us arrived and were assured by the initial desk clerk that our rooms were adjoining and near to each other. That was not the case. We had to go back to the desk and wait on line, again, to resolve the problem. The young lady who ultimately helped us was proficient. At one point, our card keys did not work. I had to make a "stink" to get security to our door to help us since newly issued cards did not resolve the problem. On a personal note, I found the down pillows and comforters aggrevated my allergies."

"We had a positive experience with all of the hotel personnel and amentities with the exception of the Dolphin Grille in the hotel. We ordered a microwaved mini hamburger (the exact words of the hostess) and waited over 25 minutes for this. The hamburgers were luke-warm and the buns were soggy and the waitress was less than accomodating to our table. Other than this-the hotel was very nice."

"We really enjoyed out stay at the Dolphin. The multiple pools and saunas were great, and the sandy beach added a really nice touch. There is pretty much at the hotel just for the kids to do, yet relaxing enough for adults. Transportation either by bus or boat is provided to the attractions, so you don't even need to rent a vehicle. The only thing I would recommend is really researching the entire Disney resorts area, some of the other resorts have really neat attractions too and the concierge wasn't that helpful. Overall, we had a terrific stay though, and would definitely go back!"

"I terms of pure price/performance factors the Dolphin rates a 9 out of 10. My only concern was upon my arrival and the room that had been designated was not available. Niel, your desk manager, handled this in a proficient and professional manner. I would also like to extend my sincere thanks to your General Manager for contracting with East Coast Medical Network. Patrick Hennessey, M.D. attended to my medical needs during a violent bout of food poisoning. Dr Hennessey demonstrated strong medical knowledge, compassion (my 6 year old daughter was with me) and absolute procesion in diagnosing and treatment of my illness. He is one of those rare Doc's that people would kill to have as their primary physician. You have a rare find with Dr Hennessey. Equally important, when i dialed "66" your team arranged to have Dr Hennesey at our room within 30 minutes. What could have been a disastrous trip turned out to be a pleasant "venture" thanks to Dr. Hennessey. My hat is off to the entire team at the Dolhpin as well as dr Hennessey. Great job!
