"We were late accessing our room which creates some issues especially when getting out of bed at 4AM to travel. One of the rooms had a wet carpet, as I understand it the result of cleaning, and smelled of chemical until it dried a couple of days later."

"To look at the hotel, it took very nice. We stayed there 5 years ago and the rooms looked great. This hotel could use some sprucing up, esp. with the rooms. They looked well used. I felt everything was overpriced. I had a headache one day and it cost me $2.00 for two avil. The people were very friendly as usual. My husband and I both agree that We won't be back until we have grandchildren."

"The toilet seat was broken, light bulb burned out, remote control for tv missing. It took over an hour to get our bags from the valet after we parked the car. If things are THAT backed up, it would be courteous to say the least to inform your guests of such delay so that we would have the opportunity to carry our necessities to the room with us. My children were deprived of the use of the facilities for over an hour because they had no play clothes or swimsuits. After we went to the pool, the keys to the door did not work, it took two calls and 20 minutes of my poor kids sitting on the (clean?) floor in the hall before anyone came in to let us in the room. The next day, the keys did not work again we were told that it was our misuse in storing the keys (we were not provided with sleeves for the keys and informed that they were useless anyway) and that we MUST have stored them by a cell phone, magnet, credit card, money clip or some other instrument that de-magnetized the card. The fact is that I put a credit card on the room key so that we only had to carry ONE card. The first and second cards were carried all alone, in a pocket and was not exposed to any of the items your staff suggested were the cause of the keys failing to work. We were compensated by removing the charge for breakfast at the marketplace. The food at the Cape May Buffet was far below the standard of any food I have ever had at any Disney facility. Over 50% of the clam shells were empty and the "mussels" were so small I'm not even sure how many shells had mussels in them. I chose that restaurant based on the description and on the advertisement and on the picture in the elevator. The picture clearly pictured crab legs, and of course there weren't any there. The fine print outside the door does not list crab legs, so I guess I should have paid more attention to the writing, rather than relying on the photographic advertisement (i question the legality of that type of advertisement). I am a Florida resident and a Florida native. I have been coming to Disney since 1973 when we all hoped for e-ticket rides, and cried when all we had were a-tickets left. This was an a-ticket room at an e-ticket price. I've stayed at the All-Star Hotels two times and the facilities, service and food were far far superior at a much more reasonable price. I truly believe i was ripped off and I will strongly advise everyone I know to steer clear of the Beach Club. It was the worst vacation experience of my life and a total waste of money. I am not the kind of person to complain, but the facilities and service were below standard, and the fact that the problems were blamed on US, the guests, in unbelievable. I'm not asking for much, just what I was promised when I paid the $300 per night for a miserable time. Oh, by the way, there were no washcloths in the room either, had to wait about 30 minutes for room service to bring those. If you want to contact me, my phone number is 813-928-4645."

"The pool is the real highlight at this hotel, however foam noodles and other 'toys' for the pool should have been provided free of charge for guests. It was very irritating to hear that float tubes were available to rent for $3 !!. People don't like to be nickeled and dimed when on holidays."
Patricia from Ottawa, ON CA rated Disney's Beach Club Resort 8 out of 10 on July 02, 2005
"Your staff were all very pleasant and always had a smile on their faces. The only negative was probably having one more open station at the Concierge Desk. Otherwise, a very pleasurable stay."

"The computer system to purchase event tickets took way to long;the unit interiors were worn,ie torn shower curtain, rust on safe door, old finishes. I was very dissappointed, given the high cost per night."

"Upon arrival we were told we would have a 3 pm check in. After calling several times and complaining we finally received our room around 4. This might seem unreasonable but when we check in at 12, you would think Disney would say "okay we should make sure that room is ready by three because there here!" To top it off it started raining and my wife started coughing and we needed the room ASAP. This started our vacation on a sour note. I would ask Disney in the future to have their rooms cleaned and ready by the time they promise. Especially when someone checks in early!!!!! Regards, Allen Kummu"

"This is a wonderful hotel. Rooms are large, beautifully furnished and incredibly quiet. We could not have asked for more!"

"this was by far the worst experience I have ever had at Disney. I will be writing a detailed letter but I am in need of the general Managers name for the Beach Club Resort"

"We were very impressed by everything. we had stayed our first few nights at the Dolphin for a conference and didn't have maid service til 5pm. Our first morning at the beach club, we went to breakfast and came back to a clean room! It was so nice. We received a complimentary upgrade to the concierge level which was very nice. The gummi worms were a great touch at snack hours. It would be nice to have a complimentary computer station set up where folks could quick look at emails on yahoo or aol or something. The pool was awesome. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and do plan to come back as our family grows. We will recommend the Beach Club to all friends. Thanks so much for everything."
