"This was our first time staying at a Disney Resort. We have lived in Florida for twenty years and have been to all of the attractions several times, but have never taken the time to investigate the resorts. We enjoyed staying at the All Star Movies Resort for our first time. We had a dinner reservation at the Grand Floridian and have decided that we will surely stay at this resort next time! Thanks for everything!!!"

"It was a great place to stay if you have kids. Rooms were very clean and got cleaned daily. My daughter and wife loved it as well. When I go back to Disney I will be sure to stay here because the rooms are cheap and it's perfect for a family that don't want to waste money on a place your just going to sleep at when you can spend it elsewhere.Very,Very reccomended!!"

"We stayed in Building 10, room #854. The back of the toilet was leaking and looks as if someone may have put down a towel before our check-in to catch the leak. I was so tired when we checked in that I failed to mention this to the front desk and forgot when I checked out. Also, we were near the children's playground area and were kept awake through the night due to children running up and down the stairs and down the hallways."

"A manager advised me I owed for a daily refridgerator that I never requested and did not even know I had one in my room. The manager said the fact that there was one in my room obligated me to pay the extra charge. This customer service is the absolute worst! I would never return to that hotel and should have payed attention to the other negative ratings on the web/internet before I made the reservations but the kids saw the movie themes and wanted to stay there."

"the front desk employees, as well as the front desk managers were of little help. they had to call some other "team" everytime i asked a question. most of them seemed like they had no clue as to what they were doing. however, Mr. Michael Smith fixed everything for me so i would like to thank him. i also found the quality of service (mostly the attitudes from the employees) was less than when i came to stay at sports 4 years ago. Also, a tractor cleaning trees in the parking lot almost ran over my 8 yr old son because he had no one directing him. you can't see down in those things therefore the rule of thumb or law (i don't know for sure)is to have someone directing him and watching for things like that. i know because i own a construction company. thank god my husband was there to yell at the guys in spanish!"

"Too noisy! Teenagers were running around, screaming past midnight. Security should have done something to get them into their rooms. Most families need to get up early to visit the parks. This was difficult when you can't get to sleep until late."

"Our family loved staying at the All Star Movie Resort in Disney World! We were in the Mighty Ducks area and it was really cute! They have done an excellent job with the decorations both inside and outside of the rooms. The rooms were very clean and housekeeping was excellent! They tried very hard to make sure all our needs were not only met but exceeded. :0) The pools were sparkling and pool areas were very clean and neat. These pools do not have the amenities of the moderate priced resorts (slides, waterfalls, hot tubs, etc.), but we were aware of that when we booked the hotel. Buses are available every few minutes to take you where you want to go on Disney property, but you had to get yourself to the main building. We had rented a car so this wasn't a problem for us, but without a car you would have to walk to the main building from your room. The only thing we would change is the temperature of our room. It never got below 72 at night in the room, and we had the thermostat turned all the way to 50. Maintenance was supposed to check it out and fix the problem, but the temperature never changed. The room was warmer than 72, around 80, during the day. Our family recommends the Disney All Star Movie Resort!"

"The pool was under repair for many of the days we were there. The room was very clean. When we left a mixup caused us to leave our luggage at the hotel. One of their employees made a special trip to get our luggage to the airport on time for our flight. A BIG ata-boy for that."

"If there was a special check out line that would speed up checking out. Also having your picture on your room key/charge card. This would prevent other people using your card if you were to loose it. Waiting for the bus to take us to Magic Kingdom was about a 30 minute wait. We will be coming back to one of the Disney All Star Resorts in the future. Great Job to everybody."

"My only complaint was the sulphur-smelling water in the bathroom. I believe in this time and age (where a filter can do the job) Disney should go "the extra mile" to make sure the quality of water in their hotels is acceptable. I found this unacceptable for a company that boasts itself as the leader in the entertainment business."

"This was my first visit to a Disney Hotel..and it was a wonderful experience for me and my grandchild (2 & 6yr old)...they HAD A BALL....from the kiddie pool, the game room and the wide variety of food at the food court... the 6yr old felt like a grown up being able to get what ever he wanted....I love the fact that there was bus service to and from all the theme parks and attractions, and I didn't have to rent a car..which saved a lot of time and money...I would return to any Disney Resort in the future with or without the grands...I LOVED IT"

"We were really disappointed that Disney World resorts could not guarentee us a non-smoking room. While we requested a non-smoking room in our reservation, when we arrived we were told that there were only "smoking optional" rooms available. (Are there "smoking required" rooms?) Credit to the staff for finding a non-smoking room at a different All-Star resort."

"I loved the hotel, but did have some problems. 1. Mailed bills from there on the 15th and they were not post-marked until the 23rd, this caused me problems. Late fees. 2. Left my cell phone charger on the only table by the door. Called the hotel that morning, they would send no one to look or retrieve it and told me to call back the next day. I called back and they said it wasn't there now but they could send me someone elses if I could discribe it to them. Didn't happen"

"The bus transportation to and from the park was very important to us and very convenient. On Sunday, Oct. 16th at 4:30 pm when we were ready to leave the Animal Kingdom we waited for almost 45 minutes at the bus loading area along with many other folks. No buses were coming for the All Star Resorts. Numerous buses came for the other destinations in the park. At the end of the day when you have tired children in tow it can make the final few hours of your visit to the park less than memorable. Otherwise, all the amenities and transportation were excellent. We especially liked the breakfast at the resort which was good, quick, and fair priced. "The transportation to and from the airport were not at all what I expected. We never did receive our special luggage tags (and we arrived home today)and when we arrived at the airport, we were told that it would take 4-6 hours for our luggage to be delivered to our hotel - totally unacceptable. We had to go back, claim our luggage, and rent a luggage carrier and then go all the way back down to meet the bus. This was very difficult with two small children, carry on luggage, and a double stroller - which is why we paid for the convenience of this service. Then, unfortunately no one told us that having an early flight would be a problem. Our flight was scheduled to leave Orlando at 0630 - always was, and this was reported to at least three different people when we reported our arriving flight information. The day before we were scheduled to leave, we found out that we could not check our baggage and get our boarding passes at the hotel. Why? Because this position at the hotel is only open a limited time during the day and we could not check our bags more that 12 hours before our flight time, and certainly not after our trip to the airport at 3:40 a.m. (we knew it would be early, but thought it would be easier to clear security at the airport). Once again, we had to fight all of our luggage, the double stroller, two small children, and our carry on luggage. I feel that we paid for the transportation and did not receive one benefit from the purchase. I would have rather rented a taxi to and from the airport than to have to put up with this situation again. When I asked about the situation at the hotel and asked to speak to a manager, I was put on hold for over 15 minutes with no response. I will follow up and request a refund again for this expense. On a much better note, the lady named Kate in the gift shop, really went out of her way to help us pack up some of our purchases. She eagerly got us a large box and helped up tape it up - it made it home just fine!!! She was very patient even though there was a crowd and one other person acted like we were crazy for asking for help. The people at the check in counter and the concierge counter were of no help either. Please express our heartfelt thanks to Kate - tracking our luggage was hard enough and we are so glad she helped us."

"We stayed 3 nights in the fantasia. One problem was a foul smell regularly by the guest laundry room but not sure whether it was a dumpster or something else. Also would be nice to have some better or some source of lighting for the playground between fantasia and toy story (even something that is on a timer switch would be sufficient). Other than that we really enjoyed our stay and the pool hours are great."

We made a reservation for 2 seperate fmailies onver the net at checkin we requested for seperate bills they promised it would be done but at checkout it did not happen the systems were outdated or your staff was not willing to coperate. we made a booking for a extra night we had to check our and checkin again, wherease ot could have done one tim and avoided by standing in line, etc. suprised that the checkout staff were unable to do so. the problem company was willing to pay for both the families but today we are paying from our pocker because the billing is joint. cannot claim the expenses. disney store we selected a photo frame and paid for the same it was a gift for may daughter. the clerk said she would pack the same, today when we open it at home in india it is not the one we selected item it is completely different."

There was no refigerator (without an extra cost) that is ridiculous! It was a bear bones room. I have stayed at better quality hotels at a much less price. Very disappointed. The prices in the food court were outragious for poor quality food. Wouldn't stay at this hotel again."

Overall, I did like the room for the cost. This was a spare-of-the-moment trip with 3 other friends, so it was convenient and not costly. The commissary cafeteria had good choices. I do believe though you need at least two people on the freshly prepare area, i.e, beef and noodles, shrimp and pasta."

"Checking in took way too long. It took a half hour at least. The line was not that long, and there were plenty of representatives checking people in. But they were extremely slow. They seemed confused, and were on the phone alot. The woman ahead of me was being helped by two people, and they both walked away and left her for at least 10 minutes. The girl that checked me in was very friendly to me and my kids, but it still took about 10 minutes, and my room was already paid for. Very frustrated over all."

"I had heard good things about the All-Star Resorts but was disappointed to find that my room was rather like that of a Motel 6... with a cartoon bedspread (which smelled bad, by the way). When I called the front desk to let them know that there was no TV remote control device in my room, I THINK the young man I spoke with hung up on me. Anyway, I never got a remote. When I enquired at Guest Services (in the hotel lobby) how to get to the Boardwalk area, no one seemed to know, and the person who did "know" gave me bad information such that my trip there took twice as long as it should have. It didn't help that my baggage was lost and the weather was miserable; I do realize those things aren't Disney's fault! And I do have some good things to say, by the way. It is always great to use the WDW transportation system, and staying at the A-S Movies allowed me that privilege. A VERY helpful lady assisted me at check-out, and the bartender on duty on Christmas Eve was quite cheerful. The bag of candies and Christmas card left on my door Christmas morning was a pleasant surprise. I went home after only one day of a planned-three-day visit; had I stayed longer, I would have sought to move to a different hotel on Disney property although I realize that all other of the WDW hotels are much more expensive. I have to believe one gets what she pays for."

"The price was a little high for the average income. Would stay again because of the transportation to the parks. The only comment I have is that when the bus for MGM was full. The driver said he would send for another bus, That didn't happen and then the next bus was so full we had to stand."

"The whole hotel needs renovation, the carpet in our room had a dirt ring around the carpet and the bathroom could have been cleaner. The parking lots had garbage on them which was very unMickey. The cleaning staff didn't seem to notice the debris around the grounds. The food at the hotel was better than expected. The front desk staff was very friendly."

"This our second visit to this resort within six month period. We love it for all the amenities and services received with one exemption. In our particular case, being at this resort twice in a year period we should have some consideration of having a room closer to the front desk area. Again our room was located at the end of the resort. We are planing to go back to the same resort very soon and we hope we will get a better room location."

"We are the kind of people who get up and leave room at 0700 and come back at 2100 and get ready for bed. We just need the basics, especially when we just go for a 1 day visit to one of the Disney parks. Nice that we could bus into the hotel from the airports and bus to the parks, but it was still about 30 to 40 minutes with stops. There were crumbs between the bed and the nightstand on the carpet, but otherwise the room seem clean. Food court was convenient. We took a grandchild, but did not have time to use pools or even find the play ground."

"I would love to be able to stay at a nicer resort, but really we spent most of our time at the parks and that's why we thought for the money this was fine, and it was. Great time, can't wait to get back again. I'm 47 and felt like a kid again. Rainey Owen"

"We enjoyed our stay. The price and location were great. The kids loved the pool, the big dalmations. The only issue was trying to catch the shuttle from Disney Land to the hotel. After a long day at the park, we stayed to watch the fireworks. It was about 9:30pm. I was not happy having to wait for over an hour at the bus pickup. The line was very long, people in general were not happy. We had to wait for over an hour in the heat and humidity. It just did not seem like there were enough buses. It would have been one thing if there was a constant stream of buses but one bus one leave, then 10 minutes later another bus would arrive."

"front desk could be friendlier when we checked in obvious language barrier and she seemed frustrated to answer questions. when we contacted front desk in the morning to locate a place to eat she indicated there was no place in walking distance. she obviously was not familiar with your resort because there was a food court 100 yards away. rooms were too small for two people and no iron or hairdryer in room"

"I have been to disney hotels before and expected cleanliness. I was disappointed in the lack of attention to detail in the hotel room. The area behind the tv cabinet/drawers had not been vacuumed in a long time, if ever. The same condition was found around the nightstand and behind the bathroom door along the tile up the wall. Also, mildew was present in the shower tiling and caulking."

"While the hotel is attractive to look at, especially for children, the room is very small, the hotel does not offer more accomodating rooms to fit the needs of the customers, there was not microwave thusly forcing you to eat at the extremely over-priced hotel restaurant, for the room and the price there was no visit or on-site Disney Character experience, the only shopping is the gift shop, or Downtown-Disney. On the plus side the disney transportation system is excellent taking you to any Disney location available every 15 minutes eliminating a lot of tourist driving."

"We went for a weekend one more time, because we love these hotels, but this time the hotel Movies, didn't have the pool working so we have to move to the Sports one....but the Sports one couldn't offer us a non-smoking room the first night, we had to spend the firts night in a smoking room and we hated it....following morning we switch to a non-smoking room and we were happy. Other than that every time we go to any of the Disney hotel we have a great time. We love them all!! and people always try to help you!!"

"The restaurant at the hotel needs some improvements. Personal don't know how to operate the equipment. I asked for a capuccino and when I got at the table find out that it was cold, and when I asked the lady to warm up the cup, her reply was that she doesn't know how to operate the machine. I asked for the manager and he told me that the machine is not set up to warm up the coffee. That it is not true. The day before, same situation and another employee was able to operate the machine. This situation makes me very upset because when I went back to my table my food was removed and nobody knows what it was going on. I end up without capuccino and breakfast. I did not make any complaint because I was there to enjoy my stay at Disney. I hope you will correct this situation."

"Oue first hotel room was awsome, but we had change rooms after the first five nights and our second room was in bad shape. The walls were discolored and there seemed to be soda all over one of the light fixtures. To top that off, the room smelled like someone had smoked in it. The last night was not a pleasant experience. To end on a positive note, the employees of Disney really go the extra mile to make their customers"

"we enjoyed our stay very much! Our in-laws stayed at the contemporary for one night and we did see their room, Other than the fancier decor the room was quite comparable to ours, except they had a balcony, which I personally would NOT want, with kids. Anyway, I was amazed they must have paid four times as much for their room and it really was not that much better! We enjoyed the movie resort with our children,it was excellent. Very good value."
