Guests may want to note that this property is undergoing renovations until late September 2013. The hotel may be a bit noisy between 9 am and 5 pm, Mondays through Saturdays, as a result.
Access to the I-195 is about 5 minutes away by car, while public transit can be accessed in under a 1-minute walk. The Miami Beach Convention Center, Jackie Gleason Theatre, Bass Museum of Art and the Miami Beach Botanical Garden are all about 7 minutes away by car. The Miami Beach Golf Club and the Art Deco District are both about a 10-minute drive away.
Downtown Miami is 15 to 20 minutes away by car, while Virginia Key, which features a Mountain Bike Park, the Miami Seaquarium and the Rosentiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science, is about 25 to 40 minutes away by car. The Bad

Many guests felt mislead by the name of this hotel and found the location farther from South Beach than they expected. According to guests and Google Maps, South Beach is about a 5-minute drive or a 20-minute walk from this hotel.
Several reviewers said that they were inconvenienced by the lack of on-site parking. As noted above, public parking is available about 4 minutes away on foot.
A few guests thought that their rooms were in need of updates, specifically the fixtures in the bathrooms and kitchens. A few reviewers complained about poor water pressure and inconsistent water temperature in the bathrooms, while a few other guests complained about noise disturbances from neighbouring rooms, the pool area and traffic.
As mentioned above, although several reviewers praised the staff, several other guests were unhappy with the customer service at this property. These guests described the staff as unfriendly and apathetic. One reviewer said that he received zero service.
