Many reviewers praised the hotel's location, finding it close to the beach, bars, restaurants, shopping, a supermarket and a convenience store. One guest remarked, "Hotel is located on 8th and ocean right in the middle of the ocean drive strip. Beside wet Willie and literally across the street from the beach it is walking distance to everything a tourist could want".
The hotel's rates were complimented by numerous guests, who described them as affordable, great and excellent. One patron noted, "For the price of other hotels around, Starlite will not be beaten on price [and] for location you can't ask for anything better".
