"When we checked into our room, there were several huge black tar or shoe polish marks all over the floor. At first we though the room hadn't been cleaned yet, but unfortunately it was and our gorgeous veiw of the bay accompanied several construction sites and piles of dirt (not so romantic). The one good thing was that the manager quickly moved us into a different room, which happened to be a suite (still the same view). The next morning when we checked out, we were surprised to see a charge of $23 dollars for valet. What amazed us more was when we went to the valet to request our vehicle, the valet attendant turned to my fiance, as he handed him the keys and stated,"your silver truck is right over there." Mind you ...over there was down a ramp and quite a ways away. After a moment of pause, and reaching for his keys...another attendant said just go get it for him. I guess I was just disappointed. My fiance and I just got engaged, it was his birthday weekend, we just bought our first house together and we had a banquet to attend in the area that he was up for an award for agent of the year. All of me wanted this evening to be perfect and special. Honestly, after this experience, it would have been nicer just to stay at home (and about $460 dollars cheaper). Hopefully this will encourage better service for someone else and their special events."
