Guest Recommendations

"We thought the hotel was very expensive and the hotel "nickel and dimed" us every opportunity possible. I.e., newspaper at the door -- if we took it -- we were charged. The spa was extremely expensive $125 for a 50 minute message -- usually they run about $75 for 50 minutes."
Susan from Westminster, CO US stayed on November 14, 2005
"I was very disappointed to learn that there is a charge for storing liquids in the mini bar refrigerator. I needed to store my baby's milk. Considering the cost for the room and that this is a family theme park there should not be a charge. When I objected to the charge I was told I could rent a refrigerator. Come on Disney! How cheap."
Twila from Blue Springh, MO US stayed on October 15, 2005
"The stay was fabulous. The location with the two baconies was beyond what we expected. We did not have any shampoo in the room when we arrived. I called and we received a whole packet of shampoo, lotion, conditioner, etc. I was not expecting this at all!! Having two packets of coffee was great. Although we did not utilize both packets, I have in the past and it was great knowing the option was there. I really liked the desk and how it was designed in front of the window. We appreciated the voice mail message about our check out process. The swimming pool area is beyond belief. We utilized the boat service to travel from one are to another. Having the bus service to the Disney properties was great. I can see why the Dolphin and Disney has the reputation they have for service. We will probably stay at the Dolphin again in the future. A couple of recommendations for your future customers. The sheets kept slipping off our king size bed. I do not know if they were too small for the bed but they would slip off by morning."

"Hotel lacks caracter ,is too wide open and everything is too spread out. It`s not welcoming and while all services are available many are a complete rip off!I wish the sheets were made to stay on/fit the bed!!It`s just a big convention centre and not really suited to a family."
Timothy from Granite Bay, CA US stayed on August 05, 2005
"The room had a moldy smell, noticed by all. The first night the pull-out bed had dirty sheets and blankets (it took room service one hour to respond). There was construction with the sounds of drills and hammers as early as 7:00 am. There was vacuuming in the halls at 9:30 pm. The rooms are sparsely decorated. The gym costs extra (I can usually judge an establishments sophistication on whether they charge for the gym - penny wise and pound foolish). Same for paying for parking (kind of ridiculous don't you think when guests are paying about $2500 for five nights for two rooms). The service at the BlueZoo was horrible, tepid food, very poor service, rude waiter."
Cyle from Jeffersonville, IN US stayed on August 03, 2005
"the rooms were tiny and needed work. our sink was cracked and brown, the air conditioner blew out wet air. we left after just one night because it was such a disappointment."
Anthony from Palm Coast, FL US stayed on July 14, 2005
"The pools were really dirty, my daughter got swimmers ear from the dirty pools.Rooms were really small for a family of four."
Caroline from Edinburgh, WY stayed on July 14, 2005
"fantastic hotel with great views over MGM studios. The pool area was very clean and well maintained with very high quality staff in attendance. We were very impressed with the quality and value for money."
Robert from Cape Coral, FL US stayed on July 13, 2005
"Had a great time. Keep up the good work. I'm a director of housekeeping at Cape Cpral Hospital and your hotel is as clean as my Hospital. Thank You"
Cheryl from Bradenton, FL US stayed on July 13, 2005
"Unfortunately, the hotel room was damp, in fact, down right wet feeling. When we first checked in we thought it was because the air was not on. By the next morning all of our clothes felt wet. We did not go down to the desk and report since we were in a hurry to get out that morning and by the night we decided we were leaving early the next day. We were all snizzy by the next morning."

"When reservations were made, adjoining rooms were requested. Fourteen of us arrived and were assured by the initial desk clerk that our rooms were adjoining and near to each other. That was not the case. We had to go back to the desk and wait on line, again, to resolve the problem. The young lady who ultimately helped us was proficient. At one point, our card keys did not work. I had to make a "stink" to get security to our door to help us since newly issued cards did not resolve the problem. On a personal note, I found the down pillows and comforters aggrevated my allergies."
Marilyn from North Andover, MA US stayed on April 10, 2005
"Had to change rooms because A/C didn't work. Tub didn't drain in two rooms."
Michael from Englewood Cliffs, NJ US stayed on January 25, 2005
"High speed internet connection didn't work. Windows XP Pro wouldn't boot when trying to start with your ethernet cable attached. It wasn't important enough to me to bother calling for assistance, but it should work as advertised. Other than that, no complaints."

"I did not use the 'fun/stuff' that the hotel had to offer like pool, exercise, etc., but I did have to pay for them------hmmm."
Kenneth from Chesterfield, VA US stayed on November 28, 2004
"We had a positive experience with all of the hotel personnel and amentities with the exception of the Dolphin Grille in the hotel. We ordered a microwaved mini hamburger (the exact words of the hostess) and waited over 25 minutes for this. The hamburgers were luke-warm and the buns were soggy and the waitress was less than accomodating to our table. Other than this-the hotel was very nice."
Irene from Maitland, FL US stayed on November 27, 2004
"Your shuttle service to Pleasure Island was wonderful. It made the stay that much more worth it. We live in Orlando and stayed at your hotel specifically to have a convenient location for clubbing. :) Thank you!"
Perry from Greenfield, WI US stayed on November 22, 2004
"We really enjoyed out stay at the Dolphin. The multiple pools and saunas were great, and the sandy beach added a really nice touch. There is pretty much at the hotel just for the kids to do, yet relaxing enough for adults. Transportation either by bus or boat is provided to the attractions, so you don't even need to rent a vehicle. The only thing I would recommend is really researching the entire Disney resorts area, some of the other resorts have really neat attractions too and the concierge wasn't that helpful. Overall, we had a terrific stay though, and would definitely go back!"

"The rate was a bit steep."

"Pro's Excellent setting, with enormous number of things to do. Would put me in mind of what Ancient Rome was like for the Romans. Resteraunts and Staff Of an excellent Standard Con's Carpets in the hallway a bit dirty Things generally on the disney site were expensive"
John from Kettering, OH US stayed on December 30, 2003
"I terms of pure price/performance factors the Dolphin rates a 9 out of 10. My only concern was upon my arrival and the room that had been designated was not available. Niel, your desk manager, handled this in a proficient and professional manner. I would also like to extend my sincere thanks to your General Manager for contracting with East Coast Medical Network. Patrick Hennessey, M.D. attended to my medical needs during a violent bout of food poisoning. Dr Hennessey demonstrated strong medical knowledge, compassion (my 6 year old daughter was with me) and absolute procesion in diagnosing and treatment of my illness. He is one of those rare Doc's that people would kill to have as their primary physician. You have a rare find with Dr Hennessey. Equally important, when i dialed "66" your team arranged to have Dr Hennesey at our room within 30 minutes. What could have been a disastrous trip turned out to be a pleasant "venture" thanks to Dr. Hennessey. My hat is off to the entire team at the Dolhpin as well as dr Hennessey. Great job! Sincerely John D Macdonnell Btw, we now reside in Grand Haven, MI , not Atlanta"
Ronald from Margate, FL US stayed on November 09, 2003
"i felt that the valet parking service was overpriced. I have stayed at other Disney Resorts ( Boardwalk,Grand Floridian, Yacht Club, etc.) and it is only $6.00 per day to valet park. I felt that the hotel was a little pricey, but the beds were wonderful. I got a very good nights sleep."
