Guest Recommendations
Kymberli from Sarasota, FL US stayed on November 26, 2005
"The beds were very uncomfotable and for that reason I could not recommend the hotel. All other aspects were fine."
Anonymous guest from Brookline, MA US stayed on November 11, 2005
"I would recommend this hotel if the individual was traveling with small children and amenities did not matter. The food in the food court was absolutely terrible, little variety and few salads and health food."
Shellie from Valrico, FL US stayed on September 05, 2005
"I call the front desk for a crib for my one year old. They had it up within 15 minutes. Great place for kids."
Marc from Plainview, NY US stayed on August 16, 2005
"Room was filthy with goldfish on the floor by the nightstand when we checked in. The room reeked of cigarette smoke and their were numerous cigarette butts outside by the door. Need to put in different and more food choices as it was very limited."
John from Laval, PQ CA stayed on July 24, 2005
"Better menu is required at the restaurant. Breakfast was lousy."
Anonymous guest from Williamsburg, VA US stayed on July 23, 2005
"Ice machine on our floor did not work during our stay. Bus transportation around the Disney property was excellent, very convenient."
Alfred from Browns Mills, NJ AL stayed on July 11, 2005
"First night there had no toilet paper in the rooms. Housekeeping responded very quickly and apologetically. Signs to the hotel were confusing. Two of the three cars in our party ended up at Disney's Wide World of Sports instead. Loved the buses to the parks and the convenience for Disney attractions. Will definetly come back in the future"
Debe from Rockwall, TX US stayed on July 08, 2005
"I felt that the hotel was perfect for my children. They loved the pool and the football field. I felt that there should be more places to do laundry as having only two locations was not enough. There should be a laundry area for each building. The food was well prepared and the buses going to and from the attractions were great! We didn't have to wait more than 10 minutes!! I would recommend this hotel and we will be back!"
Tracy from Shawnee, KS US stayed on June 09, 2005
"We arrived for check-in at 3pm and had to wait for 50 minutes in line while only 2 to 3 of the check-in stations were manned. A manager and another staff person stood around in the back and watched. No appologies for the wait what-so-ever! You would think the hotel would know how many people to expect and staff accordingly. I asked for a comment card, and none was available. I paid for the "VIP" room and have NO IDEA what the extra $25 was for. We had a SMALL room with wallpaper pealing off the walls in the bathroom and NO view, in the most least imaginatively dectorated themed building! We had just come from the Buena Vista Suites and I am surprised to say that I would rather stay there than at a Disney owned and run resort!!! VERY VERY DISAPPOINTING!!!"
Grant from Boca Raton, FL US stayed on May 28, 2005
"Had stater repaced on my car. Hotel staff was excellent. Car Care Center was also great. Not a rip-off on cost...."
Anonymous guest from Longwood, FL US stayed on May 15, 2005
"would like to have had coffee maker in the rooms, that seems like a standard amenity anymore particularly since we had to get up before your food court opened so there were a zillion people at the McDonalds waiting for coffee"
Eric from Williamsville, NY US stayed on May 12, 2005
"I feel that the price I paid I would have gotten more for my money at one of the area hotels. The rooms are clean ,but dark. The pool needs whirlpools and the bottom painted. I ordered a rollaway bed at check in, then later on called room service to get it. They said they don't have them and later that night it shows up. The people are nice, but the hotel needs to be updated. The hotel is not to Disneys standards, compared to everything else"
Greg from Stuart, FL US stayed on May 01, 2005
"The room was not well vacuumed. There were crumbs under the beds and a bowl left by a previous guest."
Theodore from Worcester, MA US stayed on April 22, 2005
"The food was too bland for my taste. The pizza tasted like it had sugar added. We were in Building 4. This has the tennis theme. Walking from our room #4111 to the parking lot just before we got to the parking lot was a bad smell. Either swamp gas, septic system or i don't know what. It was disgusting. I know that there are busy times and slow times for the hotel so I wonder if you set up the cafeteria to be more self serve during the busy times. I went to a deli that you had a computer pad to input what it was you wanted. We could even use our card our selves to pay, Then when we got to the line for Eggs or pancakes we could have a reciept for pick up and have that item already paid for before we get to the register. This will also cut down on the time customers are talking to the cooks who are trying to do their work. I think if you chose the items that have the best mark up such as pancakes or waffles and pre-cooked them so the wait was shorter people would go ther first thus increasing your average margin on your products sold Ted Harcovitz"
James from Coral Springs, FL US stayed on April 21, 2005
"The twelve dollar souvenir cup really got on my nerves. There should also be a refrigerator in every room. The free parking tag was good. Staff was also good. Arcade was also good."
Juan from Sherwood, RI US stayed on January 27, 2005
"The eating area needs to be cleaned better. We ate dinner there one night and there was nobody cleaning tables. They were very filthy. We had to go back to our room and eat. Also, the rooms were not that well cleaned. We found hair and some items from the folks before us. Lastly, the lighting in the bathroom is very poor. Need a stronger bulb. Overall, OK."
Wendy from Sheffield Lake, OH US stayed on January 25, 2005
"It was my fiancee's first time at a disney park, so I wanted to make it special for him and him being a huge sports fan I suprised him with us staying at the "DISNEY ALL STAR SPORTS RESORT", I think we were both suprised! The place was great clean, great looking, fun and great service, we were both just so pleased! For example: we had decided to just check in and stay at the room our first day in Florida, we had gotten settled in and went to relax, and there was no remote for the television, I called down just to see if there were supposed to be one and the woman had someone up right away, and the gentleman brought two just to be prepared! I know this does not sound like much to some but to my fiancee' and I that was a very big deal because we love great service, and treat bad service like a "pet-peeve". So thank you DISNEYWORLD for a wonderful experience and making a couple who will come back again and again!! One more question, I accidentally threw away my green lid to my DISNEY ALL STAR SPORTS RESORT large mug, how can I get another green lid? THANK YOU, WENDY & JASON FROM SHEFFIELD LAKE OHIO"
Ron from Ormond Beach, FL US stayed on January 09, 2005
"check in was like a long line at disney!"
Mary from Sanbornton, NH US stayed on January 04, 2005
"We found a cockroach in the bathroom. That had a major effect on the way we feel about the place. The pool was really nice. The kids loved that."
Ramon from Apo Ae, NY US stayed on January 03, 2005
"Ray From Wuerzburg, Germany writes: The biys and I enjoyed the themed hotel areas. Heated pool open late at night was enjoyed by all!"
Tammy from Orlando, FL US stayed on December 26, 2004
"I'm sure it would've been better had it not been so cold and rainy the entire time we were there. The room had a few large spider webs in the corner of the rooms above the beds. And an old dirty earring on the night stand when we arrived. We considered just going home, and called the front desk to ask if we could get our money back. They said we'd need to stay the first night, and then could leave the next day if we wanted. That sounded fair. We ended up staying both nights and enjoyed our time together as a family as we brought our own board games, went out to see a movie, and ate out. We were disappointed that there wasn't more to do at the resort. We did spend time at the arcade, which adds up and my son finally did go swimming late in the evening when it finally quit raining. I'm sure the place would've been much better on a warm sunny day."
Keith from Baltimore, MD US stayed on November 30, 2004
"the hotel was very well located within the resort and was an excellent value for a family of four with an infant. The food selection was a welcome treat before and after each day."
Christina from Pawtucket, RI US stayed on November 15, 2004
"The check in process was EXTREMELY slow. It was close to 2:30pm, which I realize is a very busy time, but there were 3 stations vacant, yet there were several staff members crowded over near the Guest Services section, chatting amoungst each other. I would have rather seen all of these stations open. It took us over 45 minutes to check in, which is just about unacceptable."
Dale from Waco, TX US stayed on October 17, 2004
"The rooms are small but very comfortable. The large heated pool is quite an attraction and fun. Transportation to Walt Disney World was fast and on-time!"
Anne from Chicago, IL US stayed on September 04, 2004
"I had a hard time making dining reservations through Disney. I thought the people were very rude."
Robin from Little Rock, AR US stayed on July 31, 2004
"My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Disney's All Star Sports Resort. The convenience of staying on Disney property is unbeatable. Everyone was very friendly and helpful to us. Thank you so much!!"
Tim from Meriden, CT US stayed on February 28, 2004
"Our house keeper, Magda, was fantastic; her personal touches in our room throughout our stay were very nice."
Robert from Billerica, MA US stayed on January 29, 2004
""I'll be Back" as Arnold once said.."
Anonymous guest from Tallahasee, FL US stayed on January 29, 2004
"I understand that personnel turnover is a problem for most companies but checking out was very inefficient. While in line trying to straighten out our credit card problem...I heard not one but three other customers that were having problems checking in or out."
Deborah from Marietta, GA US stayed on January 13, 2004
"The rooms could have been a little cleaner. The bathroom needed some attention, and the liquid soap dispenser in one of the rooms was never refilled when it ran out on the first morning."
Anonymous guest from Brookline, MA US stayed on January 12, 2004
"Maybe think about getting a hot tub near the pools."
Stephanie from Titusville, FL US stayed on January 11, 2004
"I love Disney quality. Castmembers smile and work hard for customers. I've never seen anything like it."
Anonymous guest from Flemington, NJ US stayed on January 04, 2004
"One thing that I think that the Disney Resorts are lacking in transportation to their Miniature Golf Courses. They are there, but if you do not have a car they are not accessible. In addition, I think alot would be gained by a bit more adult entertainment, by way of a bar or lounge, at the All Star Resorts, for those who do not want the extravagent evening at Pleasure Island."
Shanon e from Richmond Hill, NY US stayed on January 01, 2004
"The arrangements were comfortable. However, check out time was at 11:00 AM. At a little after 9:00 AM the maid service came and knocked. I yelled to the door to hang on (I wasn't dressed, please give me a little time. The maid opened the door and walked in on me. I was totally disgusted by that."
Brian from New Town, PA US stayed on December 31, 2003
"1) we did experience a problem with red ants in our room 2) after I requested in September a connecting room with my family, I was placed very far away from them. 3) the pool staff was very friendly with the children - greatly appreciated."
Amy. from Chatsworth, GA US stayed on December 29, 2003
"The bathroom was a little dirty, the dining hall doesn't have juice as part of the free beverage refill, (Aren't you guys in Florida, like the orange juice capitol of the world), it was noisy after 10:00PM with youth playing basketball outside our room, but the location was good, the bus rides were nice, the pool was beautiful and heated, the design of the buildings and general ambience of the courtyards was inviting, interesting, and unique, and all in all it was a good trip."
Karen from Houston, TX US stayed on November 29, 2003
"My stay at the Allstar Sports Resort was possibly the most agrivating and frustating experience of my adult life. From the moment I walked in the door to check in, late Saturday night, I faced one issue after another. The decision to choose this low end Resort was a mistake on my part that will not be repeated."
Anonymous guest from Pasadena, TX US stayed on November 29, 2003
"(1) Though i reserved a room two to three months in advance for 3 rooms, they were not together (2) They couldn't find a room for a disabled guest on the first floor (3) Two of the rooms were in the same last name ----but they were spelled diffferent -- took us 45 minutes to check in (4) I was on the third floor (disabled guest) and the others were on the first floor which turned out to be disastrous as there was partying way into the night which the hotel just let continue ---- kept people up all night (5) Phone didn't work at all for 2 days and then only partially for another day (6) when i attempted to get the phone fixed one of the disney representatives hung up on me (7) One of the electrical outlets in the room didn't work (8) Not friendly to disabled ----- no coffee pot and no microwave (9) NO ROOM SERVICE FOR THE DISABLED ---- ONLY OVERPRICED PIZZA"
Harold from Violet, LA US stayed on November 29, 2003
"The rooms were to standard. I only expected a little better service. The bus service seems like it could improve more frequently. I would stay there again if I couldn't get room at the Port Orleans."
Laurie from Tampa, FL US stayed on November 05, 2003
"Good value option at disney. Crowds can be a problem."
Robert from San Antonio, TX US stayed on October 24, 2003
"Complementary Coffee and small refrigerator would have been nice."
James from Buckeystown, MD US stayed on October 24, 2003
"Check in process was far too slow. Not the line part, that is only partially controllable, but once I was being attended to, it seemed like we were done 3 or 4 different times only to realize that there was yet another step to go through. I also felt that the food was sub-par quality for what you would expect from a Disney related property and I avoided eating at the hotel as a result. I will also temper my comments with the fact that I was there on business and there is no question the hotel caters to families with small children. It seemed like a great place for kid based activities."
