"We were really disappointed that Disney World resorts could not guarentee us a non-smoking room. While we requested a non-smoking room in our reservation, when we arrived we were told that there were only "smoking optional" rooms available. (Are there "smoking required" rooms?) Credit to the staff for finding a non-smoking room at a different All-Star resort."

"Unfriendly staff member telling us to hurry and leave room just a few minutes past check out time, I was on way out door .... no maids in sight for the rush. Access to room from parking lot very poor. Friend lost camera on non-disney bus which staff did not know was transporting guests to hotel. No obvious markings on bus."

"Our son was sick the night our tickets were scheduled for Spooctacular Disney. Between Monica (?) and Nathan at the front desk, they changed our tickets to Tuesday night. THANK YOU SO MUCH! It was a blast and we know the kids enjoyed every minute of it!!"

"The bus transportation to and from the park was very important to us and very convenient. On Sunday, Oct. 16th at 4:30 pm when we were ready to leave the Animal Kingdom we waited for almost 45 minutes at the bus loading area along with many other folks. No buses were coming for the All Star Resorts. Numerous buses came for the other destinations in the park. At the end of the day when you have tired children in tow it can make the final few hours of your visit to the park less than memorable. Otherwise, all the amenities and transportation were excellent. We especially liked the breakfast at the resort which was good, quick, and fair priced. "A little noisy than I'm accustomed to...no coffee pot, no hair dryer, and an additional charge for a refrigerator are not what I would expect with a title that says 'Resort'."

"Kids loved the fact that they were at a disney hotel - and such great value for money. Pool was super and the staff were very friendly giving it the 'Disney happiness'!"
Kim from Elmont, NY US stayed on August 19, 2005
"I didn't have a refrigerator in the hotel room. I needed to store milk for my baby. It was not located in an area where there were many stores even though I didn't really expect much. The shuttles were prompt. The beds were not very comfortable."

"A very enjoyable stay!"

"Laundry facilities were poor. Many of the washer needed repair we had to pay double to finally get it done. The room service was excellent and the rooms were very clean."
Helmut from Viktring, AT stayed on July 29, 2005
"suggestion for improvements: hair-dryer is missing - no tools for pool at room, difficult to get some - for a longer stay the choice of food too small (vegetarians especially!) - for children aged 8 - 10 poor possibilities to be entertained - no sport facilities at all ! on the whole we nevertheless enjoyed the stay and we will come back."
Jeff from Russiaville, IN US stayed on June 21, 2005
"I had to stand in long lines at the front desk. This was very upsetting to me. You need more people working the front desk. 40 min. wait to get another room key was unaceptable."

"The transportation to and from the airport were not at all what I expected. We never did receive our special luggage tags (and we arrived home today)and when we arrived at the airport, we were told that it would take 4-6 hours for our luggage to be delivered to our hotel - totally unacceptable. We had to go back, claim our luggage, and rent a luggage carrier and then go all the way back down to meet the bus. This was very difficult with two small children, carry on luggage, and a double stroller - which is why we paid for the convenience of this service. Then, unfortunately no one told us that having an early flight would be a problem. Our flight was scheduled to leave Orlando at 0630 - always was, and this was reported to at least three different people when we reported our arriving flight information. The day before we were scheduled to leave, we found out that we could not check our baggage and get our boarding passes at the hotel. Why? Because this position at the hotel is only open a limited time during the day and we could not check our bags more that 12 hours before our flight time, and certainly not after our trip to the airport at 3:40 a.m. (we knew it would be early, but thought it would be easier to clear security at the airport). Once again, we had to fight all of our luggage, the double stroller, two small children, and our carry on luggage. I feel that we paid for the transportation and did not receive one benefit from the purchase. I would have rather rented a taxi to and from the airport than to have to put up with this situation again. When I asked about the situation at the hotel and asked to speak to a manager, I was put on hold for over 15 minutes with no response. I will follow up and request a refund again for this expense. On a much better note, the lady named Kate in the gift shop, really went out of her way to help us pack up some of our purchases. She eagerly got us a large box and helped up tape it up - it made it home just fine!!! She was very patient even though there was a crowd and one other person acted like we were crazy for asking for help. The people at the check in counter and the concierge counter were of no help either. Please express our heartfelt thanks to Kate - tracking our luggage was hard enough and we are so glad she helped us."

"I will like to have a cofee maker at the room & also a small refrigerator on the room when the person is traveling with kids. This time i didn't get one. The rest was perfect."
James from Round Lake, IL US stayed on May 25, 2005
"We stayed 3 nights in the fantasia. One problem was a foul smell regularly by the guest laundry room but not sure whether it was a dumpster or something else. Also would be nice to have some better or some source of lighting for the playground between fantasia and toy story (even something that is on a timer switch would be sufficient). Other than that we really enjoyed our stay and the pool hours are great."

"The hotel was okay. But the staff misinformed us at checkin. We made a reservation for 2 seperate fmailies onver the net at checkin we requested for seperate bills they promised it would be done but at checkout it did not happen the systems were outdated or your staff was not willing to coperate. we made a booking for a extra night we had to check our and checkin again, wherease ot could have done one tim and avoided by standing in line, etc. suprised that the checkout staff were unable to do so. the problem company was willing to pay for both the families but today we are paying from our pocker because the billing is joint. cannot claim the expenses. disney store we selected a photo frame and paid for the same it was a gift for may daughter. the clerk said she would pack the same, today when we open it at home in india it is not the one we selected item it is completely different."

"We checked in at 8:00 am (Express Check in)and when we returned to our hotel our luggage was still missing until 8:00 pm after I called the manager to complain. We needed a fridge for my husband's insulin and they did not install it until we called also. The manager was prompt to remedy the situation and we got supper on the house but the food service in the food court is not the greatest quality and it is very expensive for what you receive."
Barbara and russell from Middleton, CT US stayed on May 15, 2005
"The rooms were very small and I found it outragious that there was no free coffee. I don't think I have ever stayed at a hotel that didn't at least have a coffee maker in the room. There was no refigerator (without an extra cost) that is ridiculous! It was a bear bones room. I have stayed at better quality hotels at a much less price. Very disappointed. The prices in the food court were outragious for poor quality food. Wouldn't stay at this hotel again."

"I had to leave and go to another hotel at 12 am after arriving because when I booked the hotel I stated 2 adults and 3 children when I arrived at the hotel the room did not accomodate all 5 of us. The staff was rude and did not try whatsoever to help my problem. I would have paid for a bigger room or an extra but all they said was that they had nothing else. Why would disney let me book a room that does not accomodate 3 children and 2 adults. I feel that if you let me book the room you should accomodate me to the best of your ability. This experience was terrible never again will I book this hotel or recomend it to anyone."

"We had a baby and they had no place to heat his milk. You had to go all the way to the cafeteria in the main building to reach a microwave. They should atleast have a microwave in each building maybe each floor by the ice machine."
Anonymous guest from Elmhurst, IL US stayed on February 05, 2005
"While sleeping, house staff kocked on our door three seperate times...as late as 12:30am to bring us a pack-n-play which they already had given us. When asked to bring us wash clothes, they brought hand towels instead. The food court was very expensive. The room just didn't feel clean and was small."
Mary from Norristown, PA US stayed on January 31, 2005
"I felt the cleaning staff just made the bed and vaccumed. The mirror on the bathroom door was never cleaned. I had to ask for tissues after two days of not having any in the container. Overall, I did like the room for the cost. This was a spare-of-the-moment trip with 3 other friends, so it was convenient and not costly. The commissary cafeteria had good choices. I do believe though you need at least two people on the freshly prepare area, i.e, beef and noodles, shrimp and pasta."
Patricia from Valrico, FL US stayed on January 29, 2005
"Disney employees use to be the very best. Part of the Disney experience was how great your staff was. I've been very disappointed the last several years by the rude attitudes that I've come into contact with. I understand that not all of your employees are like this, but I found an inordinate amount during my hotel experience."
Robert from Greenacres, FL US stayed on January 23, 2005
"Checking in took way too long. It took a half hour at least. The line was not that long, and there were plenty of representatives checking people in. But they were extremely slow. They seemed confused, and were on the phone alot. The woman ahead of me was being helped by two people, and they both walked away and left her for at least 10 minutes. The girl that checked me in was very friendly to me and my kids, but it still took about 10 minutes, and my room was already paid for. Very frustrated over all."

"I had heard good things about the All-Star Resorts but was disappointed to find that my room was rather like that of a Motel 6... with a cartoon bedspread (which smelled bad, by the way). When I called the front desk to let them know that there was no TV remote control device in my room, I THINK the young man I spoke with hung up on me. Anyway, I never got a remote. When I enquired at Guest Services (in the hotel lobby) how to get to the Boardwalk area, no one seemed to know, and the person who did "know" gave me bad information such that my trip there took twice as long as it should have. It didn't help that my baggage was lost and the weather was miserable; I do realize those things aren't Disney's fault! And I do have some good things to say, by the way. It is always great to use the WDW transportation system, and staying at the A-S Movies allowed me that privilege. A VERY helpful lady assisted me at check-out, and the bartender on duty on Christmas Eve was quite cheerful. The bag of candies and Christmas card left on my door Christmas morning was a pleasant surprise. I went home after only one day of a planned-three-day visit; had I stayed longer, I would have sought to move to a different hotel on Disney property although I realize that all other of the WDW hotels are much more expensive. I have to believe one gets what she pays for."
Barbara from Jacksonville, FL US stayed on December 23, 2004
"The price was a little high for the average income. Would stay again because of the transportation to the parks. The only comment I have is that when the bus for MGM was full. The driver said he would send for another bus, That didn't happen and then the next bus was so full we had to stand."

"The whole hotel needs renovation, the carpet in our room had a dirt ring around the carpet and the bathroom could have been cleaner. The parking lots had garbage on them which was very unMickey. The cleaning staff didn't seem to notice the debris around the grounds. The food at the hotel was better than expected. The front desk staff was very friendly."

"This our second visit to this resort within six month period. We love it for all the amenities and services received with one exemption. In our particular case, being at this resort twice in a year period we should have some consideration of having a room closer to the front desk area. Again our room was located at the end of the resort. We are planing to go back to the same resort very soon and we hope we will get a better room location."
Robert from Avon Lake, OH US stayed on November 11, 2004
"We are the kind of people who get up and leave room at 0700 and come back at 2100 and get ready for bed. We just need the basics, especially when we just go for a 1 day visit to one of the Disney parks. Nice that we could bus into the hotel from the airports and bus to the parks, but it was still about 30 to 40 minutes with stops. There were crumbs between the bed and the nightstand on the carpet, but otherwise the room seem clean. Food court was convenient. We took a grandchild, but did not have time to use pools or even find the play ground."
Rainey from Albany, GA US stayed on October 16, 2004
"I would love to be able to stay at a nicer resort, but really we spent most of our time at the parks and that's why we thought for the money this was fine, and it was. Great time, can't wait to get back again. I'm 47 and felt like a kid again. Rainey Owen"

"We enjoyed our stay. The price and location were great. The kids loved the pool, the big dalmations. The only issue was trying to catch the shuttle from Disney Land to the hotel. After a long day at the park, we stayed to watch the fireworks. It was about 9:30pm. I was not happy having to wait for over an hour at the bus pickup. The line was very long, people in general were not happy. We had to wait for over an hour in the heat and humidity. It just did not seem like there were enough buses. It would have been one thing if there was a constant stream of buses but one bus one leave, then 10 minutes later another bus would arrive."
Frank from Ocala, FL US stayed on September 12, 2004
"Excellent time...I have 2 older kids 18 and 17...we all loved it and want to go back to some of the other All Star Resorts....we highly recommend the Movie All Star Resort.....Food Court was great...reminded us of a cruise on dry land"

"front desk could be friendlier when we checked in obvious language barrier and she seemed frustrated to answer questions. when we contacted front desk in the morning to locate a place to eat she indicated there was no place in walking distance. she obviously was not familiar with your resort because there was a food court 100 yards away. rooms were too small for two people and no iron or hairdryer in room"

Mary from Woodbridg, VA US stayed on July 31, 2004
"I have been to disney hotels before and expected cleanliness. I was disappointed in the lack of attention to detail in the hotel room. The area behind the tv cabinet/drawers had not been vacuumed in a long time, if ever. The same condition was found around the nightstand and behind the bathroom door along the tile up the wall. Also, mildew was present in the shower tiling and caulking."
Richard from Lake Suzy, FL US stayed on July 03, 2004
"Bathroom was dirty. Tub would not drain and was soiled with hair and grime."
Lisa from Columbus, GA US stayed on June 27, 2004
"While the hotel is attractive to look at, especially for children, the room is very small, the hotel does not offer more accomodating rooms to fit the needs of the customers, there was not microwave thusly forcing you to eat at the extremely over-priced hotel restaurant, for the room and the price there was no visit or on-site Disney Character experience, the only shopping is the gift shop, or Downtown-Disney. On the plus side the disney transportation system is excellent taking you to any Disney location available every 15 minutes eliminating a lot of tourist driving."

"WE once stayed at the ALL star Music and Now we stayed at the movies.... ALl I can say is that I cant wait to Stay at the Sports one next ( as my daughter has requested) and then on to the new Pop cultural one .. Awesome hotel adn the staff is awsome .. Thanks for remembering that this is the time for families on vacation and all that you have , do and offer couldnt be better... I think if you keep the prices low and the friendly staff ( that do go over the extra mile) then you will always have a great response.. Thanks for being so great ..."

"We went for a weekend one more time, because we love these hotels, but this time the hotel Movies, didn't have the pool working so we have to move to the Sports one....but the Sports one couldn't offer us a non-smoking room the first night, we had to spend the firts night in a smoking room and we hated it....following morning we switch to a non-smoking room and we were happy. Other than that every time we go to any of the Disney hotel we have a great time. We love them all!! and people always try to help you!!"

"The restaurant at the hotel needs some improvements. Personal don't know how to operate the equipment. I asked for a capuccino and when I got at the table find out that it was cold, and when I asked the lady to warm up the cup, her reply was that she doesn't know how to operate the machine. I asked for the manager and he told me that the machine is not set up to warm up the coffee. That it is not true. The day before, same situation and another employee was able to operate the machine. This situation makes me very upset because when I went back to my table my food was removed and nobody knows what it was going on. I end up without capuccino and breakfast. I did not make any complaint because I was there to enjoy my stay at Disney. I hope you will correct this situation."

"The hotel was very old-fashioned and dorky. It had very few tv stations, no hair dryer, weird bedspreads, etc. It's a place to take little kids, as they would like it very much. For adults, though, I wouldn't recommend it."
Lisa from Wolcott, CT US stayed on February 05, 2004
"I had trouble with my credit cards at the desk - the clerk charged the wrong credit card for my charges while in the park. If I had to sign an authorization, I would have noticed the error. -I took the clerks word that it was as I requested and this mistake caused problems for me."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your hotel, but I did not see where the extra value was as we paid $10 more for better rooms. Your services were prompt and friendly. Everything there was geared for family/children and it made our family vacation 'special'."

"When you use the shuttle to the attractions, it's a great deal, no parking problems, short walking distances to the park from shuttle drop offs. Will stay again."

"Oue first hotel room was awsome, but we had change rooms after the first five nights and our second room was in bad shape. The walls were discolored and there seemed to be soda all over one of the light fixtures. To top that off, the room smelled like someone had smoked in it. The last night was not a pleasant experience. To end on a positive note, the employees of Disney really go the extra mile to make their customers"
David from Sherburne, NY US stayed on December 12, 2003
"we enjoyed our stay very much! Our in-laws stayed at the contemporary for one night and we did see their room, Other than the fancier decor the room was quite comparable to ours, except they had a balcony, which I personally would NOT want, with kids. Anyway, I was amazed they must have paid four times as much for their room and it really was not that much better! We enjoyed the movie resort with our children,it was excellent. Very good value."
Frank from Sherburne, NY US stayed on December 12, 2003

"i dont believe up to disney standards beds too small cleaning was not good shower mildue in places sink and toilet could have been cleaned better.drawer in chest broken..needed a cot because of small bed size cost was $16.80 extra per day !! wow now up to about $100 per day..could have stayed outside disney in new hotel for one half of that. plus food costs too high..15.2 ounce apple juice $3.20 !!! coke in machines @ 2.50 really outrageous..... need more washing machines 8 for 2600 rooms ?? get rid of whale in kids pool area kids being hurt daily .... signage to get to hotel very confusing for first time staying at movies how do we know to follow signs to animal kingdom resort area???? then checkin line took 40 minutes also something i signed about usa today newspaper were we supposed to get ?? never saw one think i was charged ?just feel disney could do better"
