"During my stay I unfortunately left behind a silver band ring that was not an expensive ring but none the less had sentimental value. I returned Sunday evening to see if it had been turned in and was told that housekeeping had gone home and to call back on Monday. When I called back the desk said that they could not reach housekeeping but promised to do so and call me back right away which they have not done. I recognize that the ring is probably not going to turn up but I believe that a simple phone call letting me know that housekeeping had been consulted would have been in order. I have recently been attending weekend workshops at UCSC extention which requires a Saturday night hotel stay. In the future I will be looking for lodging at another facility . . . hopefully one where there is a little more follow through."
