This 1930s luxury cruise ship took up residence in Long Beach, CA in 1967 and has been one of the area's prized historic attractions ever since. Since the early 1970s, this lively boat-el has welcomed guests to experience the past with a night in one of the onboard staterooms. Rooms feature the ship's original wood paneling and refurbished 1930s decor. Guests receive a complimentary self-guided ship tour with room rates. The Queen Mary boasts two award-winning restaurants and several other casual spots for lighter fare and cocktails. For an elegant dining experience, reserve your table at Sir Winston's. Specializing in California and Continental cuisine, this restaurant is open daily. At the Chelsea, guests feast on seafood delicacies in a casually elegant atmosphere. Reservations are required. The Promenade Cafe serves lighter snacks and casual meals like pasta dishes and burgers. A popular brunch is served in the Grand Salon each Sunday. For drinks, head to the Observation Bar and enjoy cocktails and the Art Deco decor. For quick bites, there are several onboard cafes and spots suitable for fast, easy eats.
The boat offers meeting space and limited business services. There are 365 rooms and 12 decks on this ship. Children 17 and under stay free with paying adult. Inside, Tourist Class, Deluxe, First Class, and Royalty Suite Staterooms are available. From the Queen Mary, guests will be able to reach the San Pedro Cruise Port in two miles and the Los Angeles airport in 22 miles.
