"The staff was polite and helpful. However, we arrived after a 7 1/2 hr drive (trip), at about 1:15 p.m., and could not be given a room. They said it wasn't ready yet. We couldn't check in to shower, etc., before a 2 p.m. app't we had. We had to go to our app't and then come back before we could get a room. The room we were given actually seemed to be quite well insulated; the bed was quite comfortable, the room a good size, etc. However, again, the room had a damp, unusual smell (although not terrible) and also the first night we were there, it was VERY NOISY. I woke up at 11:30 at night to kids hollering and running up and down the halls and walking up and down the halls talking loudly, the people next door being noisy, people using the ice machine several times, etc. This noise continued for an hour or more, so I called the desk and told them. They said they would send someone out right away, which they did. I would say it quieted down about 3/4ths of the noise, but noise continued for another hour or so, even after I poked my head out our door later and complained about the noise, but got no response. Our 2nd night was quiet!! Our stay, overall, was okay."
