Many lodgers were impressed with their accommodations at the hotel. They described their rooms as clean, well equipped, spacious and nicely decorated, with great mountain views. A few patrons did complain of dated decor and worn fixtures, however.
The hotel's location was praised by numerous reviewers. They found it to be centrally located, as well as close to the airport, the South Mountains, restaurants, shopping, highway access, golf courses, a bus station, Tempe, Mesa, Scottsdale and Slip Rock State Park. The hotel was recommended for those with a vehicle, however.
Several lodgers were pleased with the level of customer service they received during their stay. They characterized the staff as informative, efficient, pleasant and helpful. A few travellers had complaints about the staff, however (see below).
