If you're seeking the beauty of the Mexican Riviera but want a quieter, more secluded destination, the Playacar Palace in Playa Del Carmen offers both. About an hour's drive from Cancun's airport, the hotel lies on a somewhat narrow stretch of white-sand beach lined with palm trees.
For onsite recreation, guests will enjoy the freeform outdoor pool, swim-up bar, and variety of watersports offered just beyond the hotel grounds on the beach. The property has one tennis court. The 18-hole Robert Van Hagge golf course is across the road from the hotel.
