"I didn't actually stay there on Jan 6 as planned. My reason for traveling to London was to go to the University Hospital for some tests. They told me shortly after 4.00 pm that I would not be leaving that night, so I called the Lamplighter & told them of my predicament & they graciously cancelled my reservation even though it was after 4.00 pm. I appreciate their kindness & recommend the Lamplighter as I would all Best Westerns to everyone."

"The amenities were great - felt like a resort by the pool area. In room amenities expensive. ($7.50 for 1 hour of Nintendo)"

"This is a great family hotel. It is a vacation in itself. Ifthe weather lets you down there's plenty for the kids to do inside. The pool and slide are a main attraction for families."

"all in all it was a great stay except for someone pulling the fire alarm at 2:30 in the morning. it added a little excitmnet to the stay. When someone has a noise complaint make sure they get the right room. the security guard came to our room saying there was a complaint but she even said she didn't even hear any noise coming from our room. We laughed about it anyways. But all my stays in london r at your hotel for i think it is like a mini vacation for the kids. They love it there. I recommend your hotel to all."

"The airconditioning is defective. The temperature in our room was 25. When we put the cooling system on it took two hours for it to get to 24. It was unbearably hot.
Also your online booking system is not very competently run. When we booked the room we specifically mentioned we had a senior citizen among us and needed convenient access. They booked us on the 3rd floor of a block that did not have elevators. The check-in clerk was able to find us something on the ground floor as there was availability. What if there had not been one?"
