The GoodThe majority of the reviews sourced for this analysis were positive, with praise going to the hotel's location, breakfast, staff and rooms.
Many guests praised the hotel's location. They described it as central, and close to the harbour, restaurants, the business district, public transit, the National Theatre, Aker Brygge and the Royal Palace.
Numerous reviewers enjoyed the free breakfast. They found it to be fantastic, excellent, delicious, fresh and healthy, with a great selection of hot and cold items and attentive staff.
The hotel's staff were the source of several compliments by lodgers, who characterized them as friendly, helpful and accommodating. One patron noted, "Great friendly and warm welcome in the reception and elsewhere. The staff was smiling, friendly and attentive - all of them".
Several travellers were pleased with their accommodations at the hotel. They described their rooms as clean, quiet, modern and functional, with comfortable beds. A few guests had complaints about their rooms, however (see below).
The Bad
While the majority of reviews consulted for this analysis were positive, there were a few common complaints about the rooms and noise transfer.
Please note that several of the negative responses were about the hotel's renovations, which were completed at the end of summer 2013.
Although several guests enjoyed their functional and comfortable rooms, a few lodgers had issues with their accommodations. They reported dated decor, worn furniture, no in-room fridges and some cleaning issues.
A few reviewers complained of noise transfer during their stay. They reported traffic noise, and renovation/construction noise.
