"Our room (number 245) faced towards the sun in the afternoon and so it was almost insufferably hot throughout the night during our stay. Feel that, if you wanted to upgrade the hotel and it's amenities you put in air conditioning especially in rooms affected by the sun. Also we had an unfortunate incident in the restaurant. Having looked at the wine list I chose a bottle of French wine which, unlike others on the list, stated it was the year 2000 which, since we live in France is one of our favurite years. I specifically told the waitress that I wanted to see the bottle and it must be 2000. She bought a bottle with the cork extracted or at least the silver foil removed for 1999 saying that "she thought that, as it was an earlier year it would be better" !! I choose the wine not the waitress I think. She took it away and came back to say they would knock €2 off the price !! I told her I did not want that wine and she seemed upset. It was obvious that there was no 2000 wine of my choice available. It spoilt our evening and, I suspect those of the four people who sat next to us who inevitably heard the debate. When the restaurant manager came round to ask us if our meal was OK (which it certainly was) He made no mention of the wine issue until I mentioned it which again was funking the issue. That was not good either. I hope that you will realise that doing this requires quite an effort to someone who does not type so I hope that firstly you will realise that this matter throws up quite a few issues and second you will come back to me with your report on the steps that you have taken so others do not have to put up with such unacceptable behaviour from waiters and managers of the restaurant. Having said that our experience of others was good."
