"Carpet in room 602 was dirty and smelt of urine. Lighting was very gloomy and poor. Had a hard time reading at night. Amenities in bathroom poor - eg no hand cream/very small skimpy bath towel. Room was very chilly - turned rad. heater up to no avail. Lack of evening restaurant facilites was frustrating. I was tired after a long day but was obliged to leave the property to dine out. Lifts horribly small and difficult to fit large suitcases into.
Staff very very kind/helpful and polite. Nice and close to main railway station. Decent value however I would, in future, pay more and get a larger more cheerful and better equipped room.
Not a disaster but along the lines of a Heathrow Ibis property - perhaps a notch above.
