Heidelberg - romantic and dynamic, with its roots in the past but looking towards the future. The city seems to have no problem in unifying what would seem to be absolute contrasts. Heidelberg is regarded as being the Mecca of German Romanticism and was made immortal by writers, painters and musicians at an early point in time.
