Many guests enjoyed the hotel's location, describing it as safe, and close to public transit, restaurants, shopping, a supermarket, Masjid Sultan Mosque, Golden Mile Tower, Little India, Clarke Quay, Orchard Road and Chinatown. One patron noted, "The public transport is around the corner, but you don't need it, because the hostel is near most of the attractions".
The hotel's staff were the source of numerous compliments by reviewers, who characterized them as friendly, accommodating and helpful with directions and suggestions. One guest remarked, "Service here is awesome! All the staff are very helpful and kind, helped us to carry luggages and gave us many good suggestions of exploring the city".

Although the majority of reviewers were pleased with their clean and comfortable rooms, a few guests had complaints. They reported small-sized rooms and rooms with no windows, as well as there being little space between the top bunks and the ceiling, and steep ladders leading up to the top bunks. Noise transfer from the karaoke bar next door was also reported by a couple of guests.
A few lodgers were disappointed with the hotel's free breakfast. They reported a lack of choices, and described it as being only bread, jam, butter and cereal.
